• In July 2010, Daniel played in First Saturday Tournament in Budapest where he took the first place and received his first IM Norm.
• In June 2010, Daniel played in Smyslov's Memorial in San Francisco, California and scored 6 points out of 9
• In June 2010, Daniel played in North American Open in Las Vegas, Nevada. He scored 4.0 out of 6 including 4 draws agains GM's.
• In April 2010, Daniel played in the  2010 Far West Open. He scored 3.5 points out of 5 games he played there.
• In February  2010, Daniel played in the  26th Open Capelle La Grande (France). He scored 5.5 points out of 9 and played against five Grandmasters.
